Then wait for a confirming email, and either reply to it or follow its instructions.
3. Register at Yahoo! and join the group.
Why register at Yahoo?
- You can view the message archives.
- You can access other items, such as pictures or audio files.
- You can look at the member list (but you won't see members' full email addresses).
- You can adjust your membership options:
-
You can control whether messages arrive in HTML format or as plain text.
-
You can control whether messages arrive immediately, or in daily batches.
-
You can stop the messages from coming to your email address, and restart them when you want.
(For instance, you might want to enroll multiple addresses from which you can broadcast
messages, but receive messages only on some of your addresses.)
-
You can broadcast messages to the group without going through your normal email client
(for instance, if you're not at home).
-
You can send emails to individual group members even if you don't know their email addresses.
4. Ask for help from a person
Mild warnings
-
Messages may take four hours or longer to be sent.
-
Advertisements placed by Yahoo! will appear in messages and Web pages.
-
Your email address will appear on posted messages.
-
Group members may be able to guess your email address from the member list.
-
Attached binary files (such as pictures and Microsoft Word documents) are removed from messages sent via the lists.
-
Emails must contain text; emails containing only HTML will not be sent.
